Unlocking Your Full Potential in English-medium Teaching

Workshop: Teaching Methods for EMI Settings

With the introduction of English-taught master’s programmes and the BBE, more and more classes at WU are taking place in English. This represents an exciting opportunity for lecturers to expand their teaching portfolio. At the same time, research has shown that the change to English-medium Instruction (EMI) brings a range of challenges as well as benefits for students and teachers. High expectations on both sides as well as new course formats require lecturers to consider their teaching practices and whether these are optimal for the specific context of EMI at WU.

This workshop series will help you shift your perspective, exchange experiences and offer you insights that will help you unlock your full potential for ensuring quality in your English-taught course. It consists of the following three workshops:

We recommend taking part in all three workshops of the series, but a participation in only one or two workshops is also possible. Please be aware that you have to sign up for each of the three workshops individually. If you want to sign up for "Teaching Methods for EMI Settings", please click "Register" at the bottom of this page. If you want to sign up for other workshops of the series as well, please follow the specific link of the favoured workshop above.
